Does my iMac have a virus?

I keep getting a lot of pop ups and warnings saying that I may have a virus. How do I get rid of this?

Answers:

1. I suggest getting Norton power eraser, it always gets rid of any viruses or spywares, adwares that i happen to get. (also it's free!) 

2. that just ads trying to get you to buy their software. Delete cookies with CCleaner
