-- Laptop Description--
HEC has awarded the contract to supply 200,000/- laptops for the second phase of the Prime Minister's Laptop Scheme to Haier Electrical Appliances Corp. 

Ltd China. The laptops for the second phase are state of the 2 in 1 detachable Multi Touch Haier Laptops. These impressive laptops have 32G SSD + 500G HDD dual storage design, 4GB RAM, The latest Intel® Core M Broadwell 14 NM Processors, and 2MP front and back cameras, along with 3G support. Detailed Specs are given below.

The internet services will be provided by Zong 4G.
Of the total 200,000 laptops to be distributed, 100,000 will be imported from China while 100,000 will be assembled locally at Haier's Lahore Plant.

Those students who got their laptop under Prime Minister Laptop Scheme having issue for the activation of Evo. So here is the solution for you.

FOLLOW Below Step for Evo Activation .
Step 1: Open the link “http://helpdesk.hec.gov.pk/ ” in your browser. It will open a page as shown below. Fill the ‘Login’ form fields with your email address and password. After filling both fields, press ‘Login’ button.
After successful login, you will be redirected to the page as shown below.

Step 2: Click on either of the ‘Submit a ticket’ options as illustrated below.
Step 3: Select ‘Ptcl’ option from the dropdown present on ‘Submit a Ticket’ page as illustrated below.
Step 4: Click on the ‘PTCL’ radio button.
Step 5: Select ‘EVO Activation Cell’ option from the dropdown list as illustrated below and press ‘Next’ button.
Step 6: Fill the ‘ticket details’ form by Entering EVO MDN , ESN Number with Contact Detail and press ‘Submit’ button to submit your ticket.

1. Use the same Email ID which you used for Validation process on http://pmnls.hec.gov.pk/
2. If you have anyother ID on helpdesk , get it disable as if found in future it may lead cancelation of Both and will disqualify you (Note The process of correction will not be completed in this case.)
3. If your Login is Disable then use forget Option OR put a request via same email which you had used for validation to you Focal Person.
4. NO CHANGE OF EMAIL would be entertained if Both Email are valid and correct.
5. Only Typo mistake in email would be entertained , put a request via email to your focal person with below details

Merit List criteria for Prime Minister Laptop Scheme

Merit List criteria for Laptop Scheme

Merit List criteria for Laptop Scheme is now available at HEC site from where you can find out the exact detail wether you are eligible or not.

The number of laptops which are being distributed by the Government of Pakistan is 100,000; whereas the students’ enrollment at higher education institutions and more importantly “eligible students” are large in number. Therefore, laptops will be distributed purely on Merit basis, however eligible students at each distribution level or group shall follow inter se merit. 

The leftover laptops after distribution amongst the MS/ MPhil/ PhD students and deduction of 5% for students of government polytechnic institutes, each Institutional/ Campus/ Departmental allocation will be segregated as per following degree program and levels. 

·       50% of allocated numbers to 1st year students in Bachelor programs

·       20% of allocated numbers to 2nd year students in Bachelor programs

·       10% of allocated numbers to 3rd year students in Bachelor programs

·       10% of allocated numbers to 4th year students in Bachelor programs or Masters (16 year education) 1st year (5% each if both exist)

·       10% of allocated numbers to 5th year students in Bachelor programs or Masters (16 year education) 2nd year (5% each if both exist). In absence of both, 10% will be equally distributed to 3rd year and 4th year allocations.

Note: Any leftover laptops from any distribution level (i.e. Academic level, Departmental, Campus, Institutional, or Provincial Allocation) may be shifted to any other distribution level or to the central pool, with the approval of Project Steering Committee.

Example:

Institutional Allocation= (Institutional enrolment) / (Total enrolment in public HEIs) = 3,848 / 500,000 × 65,000 laptops = 500 laptops
